    Youth Liturgical Ministry

The Youth of our parish are its future. How many times have you heard that? Today's youth are products of our homes, schools, culture, and technological world. They are complex, dreamed filled, challenging individuals. Those who answer that call to youth ministry will discover that it has evolved into a fourfold approach:
    1. Responding to the needs of young people
    2. Sharing a common ministry with young people
    3. Encouraging ministry by young people, especially their peers
    4. Adults interpreting young people's legitimate concerns and acting as advocates for them

    Worship

    Eucharistic Ministry

As special Ministers of the Eucharist, we are servants of the Lord to bring His Precious Body and Blood to the faithful during the celebration of the Eucharist and to the homes of those who are sick, elderly and/or unable to attend the Eucharistic celebration.
We are called to be Christ bearers to others by our quiet presence, by our proclamation of "The Body and Blood of Christ," by our warmth of touch, compassionaate eye contact, and by our prayerful, joyful participation and response during the celebration of the Eucharist.
Thus, by being fully aware of this sacred tsak, we are witnesses to those to whom we minister -- those who may have trouble seeing the face and hands of Jesus or hearing His offer to drink of the cup of salvation. We witness by the Love we have for one another, by our true dedications to service and by living our lives pleasing to God.

    Lectors

The Lector proclaims the Bible readings to the assembled faith community. This minister gives voice to God's healing and strengthening word. The Lector, in a real sense, becomes a prophet - one who speaks for God. He or she is like another John the Baptist preparing the way of the Lord, making crocked paths straight and rough places plain. Through the word, the Lector is truly a minister: encouraging, rebuking and consoling us, inspiring us and urging us on toward greater wisdom and insight into the ways of God.

    As called when necessary
